In volleyball and basketball, the Thunderbirds play in the beautifully renovated Erickson Thunderbird Gymnasium, named in honor of the legendary Hall of Fame coach Swede Erickson. As many as 2,500 fans attend home games and matches to cheer on their teams. The campus features three residence halls, two gymnasiums and a new fitness center.

Casper College is a member of the Wyoming Community College Athletic Conference and belongs to Region IX of the National Junior College Athletic Association. Representing the states of Colorado , Montana , Nebraska and Wyoming , Region IX is considered a blue chip league, annually sending athletes to Division I and Division II programs throughout the nation.

The T-Bird Booster Club helps the college to provide scholarships for its student athletes.

In rodeo, the Thunderbirds ride under the banner of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Our athletes practice at the nearby Central Wyoming Fairgrounds indoor Arena, and host the annual Ropin and Riggin Days Rodeo there. Casper College has been the host school for the College National Finals Rodeo for the past six seasons. The T-Bird red vests are synonymous with excellence inside and outside the arena.
