Library Card Instructions & Online Application

(CC Distance education students only)

Thank you for your interest in receiving a Casper College Library card.

  • To use the Journal Databases from home, you need an  activated library card.  In this case, think of your library card as being like a credit card that must be activated before you can use it.  A library card is also necessary for using the Library’s “Document Delivery Service” for distance education students.

Casper Residents:

  • If you’re taking a distance education course and live in Casper, bring your student identification card* to the Circulation Desk at the Casper College Library.   We’ll ask you to fill out a short application. Since cards expire once a year, you will need to renew your card annually.  Student identification cards are available from Student Services (AD 112).
  • If you are unable to get a student identification card, the Library will instead give you a  red library card.  To get a red library card, bring these two items to the Circulation Desk:

       1.  A picture identification card  such as a driver’s license.

      2.  Evidence of class enrollment  such as a syllabus or class schedule.

Non-Casper Residents (including out-of-state) You can receive a Casper College Library card if you:

  1. Live outside Casper.
  2. Are currently enrolled in a Casper College distance education course
  • When the Library receives your Casper College library card online application, your card will be  activated.  We will send you a red library card in the mail. Your library card number will be e-mailed to you within two business days.
  • With your library card number, you will then be able to access the periodical databases.   See the handout called:  “WYLDCat Instructions."  (Since cards expire once a year, you will need to renew your card annually).
