Student Employment Programs
On-campus employment affords students the opportunity to offset college costs and gain valuable work experience. A variety of funding sources support this program. Students interested in federal on-campus employment need to read the financial aid section of this catalog.
Students interested in working, on or off campus should register for employment consideration with the Career Information and Placement Center. Job openings can be viewed on the career center web page.
Campus Employment
There are two programs, which enable students to work on-campus. Eligible degree-seeking students may work up to a maximum of 15 hours per week. All campus positions pay above minimum wage. Referrals to job openings are handled by a staff member in the Career Information and Placement Center and are based on applicants' qualifications and job interests.
Federal Work-Study Program (FWS)
This program is federally-funded. Students must meet income guidelines to be eligible. Eligibility is determined by the Financial Assistance Office. See Federal Student Financial Assistance College Institutional Employment Program (CIEP)
This program is college-funded. Any student in good standing may apply for position openings.
Off-Campus Employment
The Career Information & Placement Center provides assistance to students seeking off-campus employment. Numerous types of jobs are placed with the center by employers from the Casper area. Center staff arrange interviews, refer students to complete employment applications, provide resume assistance and numerous additional employment-related services.
