Yellowstone Experience

Currently, Casper College boasts of a tried-and-true "Yellowstone Experience" in the new "mini-mester" between spring and summer sessions. These courses involve living in Yellowstone Park for a week and earning seven credits English 2055 Nature Writing in the Wild (3CR), Terry Rasmussen, instructor; Biology 2110 Yellowstone Field Science (3CR),Will Robinson, instructor; and a credit in Physical Education 2084.

Demorest/Humanities Festival

The Casper College Humanities Festival and Demorest Lecture series, now in the 23nd year, has always featured collaborative efforts to present lectures in varied disciplines based upon a chosen topic or theme.

English Language and Culture Learning Cluster Community

ESL 1010, 90  English as a Second Language (4CR)
M-Th 10:00-10:50AM  (Concurrent  enrollment with HMDV 1000, 90 suggested)
Part A will focus on Grammar and Vocabulary. Part B will focus on Writing. This course does not substitute for ENGL 1010, but it will help to ensure success in that course. The course will transfer as an elective in most four-year colleges.

ESL 2940, 90  Reading and Conversation for Non-English Speakers(1CR)  F 12:00-12:50PM (Concurrent enrollment with ESL 1010 and HMDV 1000, 90  suggested)
This course will allow international students and students with limited English proficiency to build confidence with practical use of the English language. It will count as Humanities credit for graduation from Casper College. Instructor: Anne Rognstad

COM 2190, 90 Learning Community Film/ART 2490, 90 Basic Video Production.  CO/M 2190 is paired with ART 2490.  Pete Van Houten, Journalism Instructor and Matt Board, Graphic Design  Instructor, will teach this class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00-11:00 AM, in AD 7.
Prerequisites: ART 2100.
